Jan Hladík

Jan Hladík


Czech graphic artist, textile artist, painter, illustrator. Jan Hladík was awarded a Prize of Nadace Hollar in 2007. He is one of the founders of Assotiation Pierre Pauli (1979).


Between 1942-1944 he studied at the National School of Graphic Arts in Prague under the guidance of prof . Vodrážka and prof. Muller. His classmates include such personalities as Vaclav Sivko , Vladimir Fuka, Mikuláš Medek. Hladík then continued in Academy od Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. He completed studies in 1950 with dissertation - a collection of decorative fabrics made by technique of film print.
