Miroslav Jiránek: Mostly on the Axis | 19.12. – 16.1.2015
Miroslav Jiránek studied graphic design at the Academy of Arts, graduating in 1979, following approximate 10 years working in the field he studied, the main focus was the creation of posters, illustration and typography. At the same time he dealt with the oil painting.
The images he paints are mostly quiet, in meditative mood. They are realistic in the traditional sense - the reality is stylized, not about photorealism or hyperrealism. Most appropriate indication of his style might be the term "meditative realism". Most of his paintings has found its place in small private collections in the Czech Republic and in the near abroad.
