Czech Art in Canada & Canadian Art in Czech Republic
In return, Canadian artists will come to Prague. Pnina Granirer of Vancouver, BC, Teena Tarantour of Ottawa, Robertson of Ottawa, ON, Lucille Marcotte of Quebec City, QC, and Mira Reiss of Montreal, have been selected for the exchange visit to Prague.
During their stay, they will visit the studio of Prof. Boris Jirků at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, for an introduction to the works of the Academy students.
Gallery La Femme together with the Canadian Embassy in Prague will prepare an exhibition showing the works of the Canadian artists at the beginning of October 2004 in Prague.
Mr. Miroslav Lipina, owner of the Gallery La Femme, will be the curator of both exhibitions. All logistical arrangements will be overseen by Ms. Jitka Grígerová, Gallery La Femme coordinator since 2000. They are working in collaboration with Mr. Fred Korn, Peter P. Formanek, Susanne Havelka, Maya Lukas and Dr. Petr Vyroubal on the realisation of the project.
