ABOUT US
MOTTO: GALERIE LA FEMME PRESENTS PAINTINGS BY FOREMOST CZECH ARTISTS OF WOMAN AS THE ETERNAL INSPIRATION IN ART.
Cherchez La Femme or “Look for the woman”. The truth hidden in this saying is proved by paintings, graphic sheets and sculptures exhibited in a small, cosy gallery in the centre of Prague named La Femme. Galerie La Femme was founded in the centre of the Prague Old Town opposite to the hotel Intercontinental in 2000. Its primary interest is the theme of woman in her countless forms as the eternal source of inspiration for many artists. The exhibited works will show you a woman beautiful and perfect but also flawed and vain.
The gallery owner, Mr Miroslav Lipina, fully employs his extended experience and knowledge acquired over his thirty-year long career in the field of art. He cooperates with foundations and members of Czech art societies. He is also a member of Hollar, the Association of Czech Graphic Artists. His daily contact with artists enables him to offer the works of renowned artists as well as those who have just started their career.
Mr Lipina to put great emphasis on the quality of the wide variety of exhibited works. His aim is to create an ideal symbiosis between the diversity of styles, techniques, sizes and colours of the exhibited works, which would give the visitors the greatest freedom of choice. Rather than an exhibition room in its traditional sense, Galerie La Femme is a pleasant place in the centre of Prague where its visitors can see an exhibition, be inspired and, in a homely atmosphere, choose a work of art for his or her home or office, or buy a small gift for friends and family.
